Xiaoyan Zhang is the team leader of the 'Chemistry of 2D Materials' group. His research is centred on combination of functional molecules with 2D materials through covalent and noncovalent approaches. The as-prepared molecules/2D materials hybrid systems are further explored in ad-hoc applications such as energy storage devices. Through his research, understanding of the structure-property-function relationship will be studied in detail, especially on how molecules affect the properties of 2D materials.
Sake Wang earned his PhD in physics at Southeast University, China, in 2016. During this period, he was awarded the national scholarship for doctoral students. Since 2021, he has been an Associate Professor at Jinling Institute of Technology, China. He was a Visiting Scientist at Tohoku University, Japan, from 2019 to 2021. His current interests focus on theoretical studies of spin and valley transport, as well as valley-optoelectronic devices in two-dimensional materials. He is a PI of the National Science Foundation for Young Scientists of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province. He has published 71 papers with more than 3,900 citations, and he published 28 of these papers as the first author or corresponding author. Four of his first-authored and corresponding-authored papers are ESI - Top 1% highly cited papers. He was ranked in the World’s Top 2% most-cited scientists 2023 and 2024 by Stanford University. In addition, he has served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism (Springer Publishing) since 2020 and as a guest editor of the Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics (IOP Publishing) since 2023, as well as being an outstanding reviewer of three SCI journals.
Professor Rachid Masrour, from Morocco, actually, is research professor in the Faculty of Sciences Dhar El Mahraz at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah the University, Fez, Morocco. Dr. Rachid Masrour completed his Ph.D. in March 2006 at same University. He has 445 articles published in Scopus and author of 2 books with h-index 44 and editor of 12 Books. He's a Referee of a several articles and also Editorial Board Members in different international journal. He has honored with International Association of Advanced Materials Young Scientist Medal in recognition for their contribution to “Magnetism, Electromagnetism and Spintronics” and delivered a lecture in the Advanced Materials World Congress 11 – 14 October 2022. One of the world's most cited top scientists in material physics (top 2 %, Stanford University Ranking, US, 2020, 2022 and 2023).
My name is Manal Alghamdi, a PhD student at the University of Exeter, UK, under the supervision of Professor Saverio Russo. Since 2022, my research has focused on enhancing the performance of graphene and other two-dimensional materials by studying their physical and electrical properties and optimizing their fabrication for electronic applications. I am originally from Saudi Arabia and currently preparing to defend my thesis. I also hold a lecturer position at Al Baha University in southern Saudi Arabia, where I will return after completing my PhD. My academic interests focus on the development of nanomaterials, particularly graphene and 2D materials, aiming to improve their stability and functionality for use in future electronic and optoelectronic technologies.
